“Blake’s Story: Finding Strength Beyond Running”

When Blake Ingle joined Dual Cities in 2021, he wasn’t looking for a new hobby—he was looking for something to elevate his running.

“I was an active runner and started CrossFit in hopes of improving my running. I’m very routine-oriented, and I was in a rut with only running,” Blake shared.

CrossFit was his first real gym experience outside of organized sports, and at first, it felt intimidating.
“I remember being overwhelmed by the environment, but the community was so welcoming. That made all the difference.”

One of his early turning points came during the workout Badger:
“I didn’t think I could get through that many squat cleans. But when I did, I thought, ‘If I can do this, I can keep coming back.’”

Since then, Blake’s biggest point of pride has been consistency. “Honestly, I’m most proud that I’ve stuck with it. Overall health is my primary focus, and I’ve seen benefits that translate into everyday tasks.”

The changes go beyond the gym:
“CrossFit has given me confidence—not being intimidated or apprehensive to try something new. It’s also a good reminder that hard things take time. Be patient, be consistent, and results will happen.”

For anyone on the fence, Blake has simple advice:
“Give CrossFit a shot. Especially if it’s outside your comfort zone. It’s an excellent way to improve your physical health and build resilience you can use across many facets of life.”

And in case you’re wondering—yes, his theory was right: CrossFit has made him a stronger, better runner.

💙 We absolutely love having Blake as part of the DC community. His consistency, positivity, and willingness to take on challenges make him an inspiration to everyone around him.
